Autumn Hearts. Lay down your heart for me, on this dark back alley street, lay down your heart for me on the N1. I hear the people murmur and the strangers scream but still, I walk down the long road, with nothing but my heart stuffed in the pockets of my jeans, for now this is nothing but a dream. The Autumn winds come visit me at night when I lay in my bed, my fingers become yellow and my eyes become red, then I lay there alone, with nothing but my heart stuffed in the pockets of my jeans, wishing this could be a dream. Be the queen of hearts in my house of cards, stack me gently, stack me slow, cover me with your arms and make the Autumn wind stop its blow, if I wake tomorrow down the N1 I will go, with nothing but your heart stuffed in the pockets of my jeans © CharlsieBun
